BASF campus of the future

For BASF will establish a FUTURE CAMPUS. Modern workplaces are to be created with optimal conditions for intensive collaboration and communication, "a place of innovation and meeting". The new Campus should not only attract top-level researchers and managers, but will also became an outstanding example for the combination of economic and social concerns.

The task to feed all the people in the future, would have to increase agricultural production and food industry in 2050 by 70 percent, and this under the terms of climate change and also in the face of the worldwide decline in agricultural land. These research approches should be inclouded in the designprocess of the new campus.

The project takes part in the contest of the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft with an kickoff workshop in cooperation with the BASF SE, Ludwigshafen, and in cooperation with 4 to 6 universities including Bauhaus-University Weimar, Technical University of Dresden, TU Dortmund and TU Karlsruhe.
